Coming soon (2028, if the stars align!), I plan to work with one manuscript yearly for FREE developmental editing services. I consider it more giving back than a giveaway, as the client is not a randomized choice, but carefully chosen to ensure that both client and editor are a good fit for one another. Every job starts with a consultation.

This is where I get to know you, your manuscript, and what your goals are with the edit. If I don’t think that we would be a good fit, I will not recommend that we move forward.

If we mutually decide that moving forward is the best for your manuscript, service begins with two months of deep editing. I analyze your manuscript using my proprietary methodology, then use my custom Notion databases to map your story’s architecture—chapters, scenes, characters, subplots, settings, worldbuilding, and more. You receive an editorial letter, in-line manuscript commentary, and the databases serve as your ongoing reference tool.

Then we move into six months of revision support: weekly 60-minute meetings where we work through the data and feedback together. After our six months, I also offer a pre- vs. post-revision analysis of up to 10 scenes to ensure we were on the right track.

At the end of eight months, you have a transformed manuscript and a comprehensive understanding of how to think structurally about your own work. We close with a final offboarding meeting to discuss any remaining questions, comments, and/or concerns.
