Whether it’s the history of speculative fiction as a whole, or understanding how drill hair became a genre convention that conveyed a character archetype through visual design, my goal is to untangle the tapestry that connects all speculative fiction together, pulling out one thread at a time. From novels to television to films to comics to manga to anime to manhua to donghua to manhwa to aeni and beyond, no stone is left untouched … or un-analyzed.

Welcome to Genre Savvied, where the only enemy is incuriosity.
